Getting a “live connect”, as we call it in our industry, is more difficult than ever- despite technology having pushed us to hyperconnectivity.

Read any self-help article or book on how to achieve a goal and you will get a list of to-dos to help you make the best possible decision. The process often includes:
Decide what you want to accomplish --> Focus on desired results --> Do your research --> Gather advice from experts --> Commit and act.
Yeah, like that happens… Unfortunately, in many cases, decisions are not made by us; they are made FOR us.
The early bird gets the worm … It’s a simple concept rooted in nature and the law of supply and demand. Either get up early to find your catch, or someone else will beat you to it! This is not much unlike how humans operate.
Trending!… More and more employers choosing temp-to-hire options for their new employees. The theory is that an employer can “try out” the employee before “they buy”, ensuring they are a good fit for the position and their company, with less associated risks/costs such as: Long-term obligations, being the employer of record, costs of benefits, taxes and unemployment fees.
The concept of being a “Full Stack” web developer is starting to be heavily debated over the past year. The deeper I emerge myself into a developer’s mindset, the more I begin to challenge my original thoughts on the effectiveness of a Full Stack Developer. So how do you know what type of developer to seek out and hire at your company?
I’m just a naïve millennial, but I never expected my life after college to be anything like this. I hear our Insurance recruiters say this to their candidatesall the time, “how did you get into insurance, or did insurance find you?” I do feel as if recruiting found me. I never pictured myself working in a bullpen in an office park; in fact, I loathed the idea of working a stereotypical 9 to 5 job. The funny thing is, that a stereotypical 9 to 5 job has become something way more after I closed my first deal.
Inside or outside of work people who know what I do for a living always ask me: “How is it out there?”, “How is the job market?”, “What’s hot these days?”
People tend to spend time with their families this time of year. Throughout my life, my mother has always called me on my BS. And boy has there been a lot of it (thx for that, ma). It’s our families that know us the longest – more so than your spouses – and call you on the crap usually because they love you. So get ready to hear some of these beauties the next 2 weeks…
Marketing mostly used to be an art and it was tough to prove its value quantitatively. It was a guessing game and simplistic- not overly reliable from the business perspective. Today it has changed into a data-driven science; dealing with savvy customers who have been radically empowered. The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is at the center of this renaissance and over half of CEOs say the CMO is well positioned to become the new CEO. All of this has come about due to the Cloud, and we are just at the beginning of this transformation. Is your business ready?
The data is in. You really can’t deny it anymore. The seasons don’t change the way they used to at your office. People who were warm to you now get over the top angry. You look around at the staff and you realize there are less of them now, you hear they are all working virtually or offshore, but you don’t know, maybe the office environment just can’t sustain people any more.
