Once at a trade show, Bill asked a bellhop to help with luggage for several people he was traveling with. The man in uniform gave Bill a look of shock and anger, and then said, “I’m a pilot.” .. True story.
As a Senior Partner in our Technology Practice, Bill builds teams for clients in software, new media and professional services. During his impressive recruiting career, Bill has placed over 300 candidates in the technology market.
Joining Hobson in 1999, he quickly climbed the ranks, and was promoted to Associate and Senior Associate during his first year. In 2001, he won “The Jackie,” an award given to the staff member who best embodies the ideals of Hobson Associates. At the beginning of 2002, Bill was promoted to Partner, the second-youngest person to earn this position in the firm’s history. In 2012, Bill was promoted to Senior Partner. Over the years, Bill has landed and managed some of the firm’s largest retained clients.
Bill believes there is a big difference between motion and progress. When you work with him you quickly find that his focus is on measurable results versus activity. The bottom line is that Bill is a delivery guy. He forms long-term partnerships built on trust with both his clients and candidates and approaches the business with a sense of responsibility — and humor.
Bill’s family stars wife Kate, a nurse, son Josh, and stepson Jim.
