Underwriting Manager

About the Role:
As the Underwriting Manager, you’ll oversee your assigned underwriting territory in the Western US to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities include underwriting new business, renewals, endorsements, and related transactions. You’ll also play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and managing relationships with agency partners.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• Proven success in commercial lines property and casualty insurance.
• 5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience; E&S experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with independent agents preferred; surplus lines experience highly valued.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email in a Windows environment.
• Comfort working in a paperless environment and using online underwriting tools (e.g., SAGE, Silver Plume, Reference Connect) preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the territory up to 50%.
