THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of casualty underwriting with a carrier
- Deep expertise in casualty coverage and loss-sensitive structures (retro, large deductible, captive, self-insurance)
- Strong grasp of financial and collateral analysis, plus account management
- In-depth knowledge of the Midwest market—(MN, WI, or MI)
- Well-established broker and agent relationships
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex deals
- Willingness to travel regionally
- CPCU, ARM, or similar designations preferred
