One of the top Excess & Surplus Lines insurers in the U.S. is seeking an experienced Small Business Construction/Contractors Underwriter to join their high-performing Construction Team. This role focuses on underwriting non-admitted General Liability for middle-market construction risks, working closely with Wholesale Brokers to maintain and build strong relationships.

- Underwrite and price commercial risks within company guidelines, with a focus on General Liability for construction
- Manage portfolio profitability and identify risk trends
- Cultivate relationships with Wholesale Brokers to drive new business
- Analyze claims and loss trends to adjust underwriting strategies
- Stay informed on industry trends and develop underwriting expertise
- 5-10 years of commercial lines underwriting experience
- General Liability and Construction underwriting expertise
- Experience in Excess & Surplus Lines and Wholesale Brokerage Distribution
- Strong industry relationships and strategic mindset
- CPCU, ASLI, ARM, CRIS certifications preferred
