Role Snapshot:
As a Renewal Underwriter, you will manage a portfolio of small to large accounts, including General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, and Excess policies. You’ll handle post-issuance transactions, make independent underwriting decisions within authority, monitor quality and profitability, and mentor associate underwriters. You will review fast-track renewals, inspections, and audits, consult with new business teams on market trends, and maintain strong agency relationships to ensure policies are accurate, timely, and aligned with company standards.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of commercial lines experience; Excess & Surplus Lines experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property, and Commercial Excess Liability.
- Proven ability to make independent underwriting decisions within authority guidelines.
- Experience mentoring or providing guidance to less experienced underwriters.
- Familiarity with online underwriting tools and paperless environments (e.g., SAGE, Silver Plume, Reference Connect).
- Strong communication skills with internal and external partners and a commitment to service excellence.
