About the Role:

As the Regional Underwriter – Midwest, you’ll drive profitable growth by underwriting new commercial lines submissions, building strong agency relationships, and collaborating with Business Development and Small Business Underwriters. You’ll manage agency engagement, maintain a high quote-to-bind ratio, and help shape underwriting strategy through a strong mix of risk analysis, customer focus, and performance-driven execution.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

• Proven success in commercial lines property and casualty insurance.
• 10+ years of E&S underwriting experience.
• Strong background in underwriting new business and managing agency partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate risk, pricing, and coverage using digital underwriting tools.
• Experience working with independent agents and strong customer service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows-based environment.
• Familiarity with online underwriting platforms such as SAGE, Silver Plume, and Reference Connect preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability, collaboration skills, and strong communication.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to occasionally travel within the territory.
