They’re hiring a Middle Market Underwriter to drive growth and profitability in the Southeast by underwriting complex new and renewal multi-line commercial risks. You’ll develop and price innovative programs—guaranteed cost, large deductible, and retro plans—while partnering with agents, brokers, and internal teams to execute strategic plans and deliver top-tier service. The role also involves mentoring teammates, creating agent business plans, and maintaining strong client relationships, underwriting discipline, and compliance.

What You Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent background is required; advanced credentials like an MBA or CPCU are a plus
- 7+ years of underwriting experience across Commercial Lines, including Property/Casualty and Workers’ Compensation
- Deep knowledge of key coverages—Workers’ Comp, Property, GL, Auto, and Umbrella—and the ability to assess complex risks
- Familiarity with the Southeast market and existing broker/agent relationships in the region are highly valued
- Excellent at negotiating and presenting solutions that resonate with both internal stakeholders and external partners
- A driven, goal-oriented mindset with a strong history of growing a profitable book of business
- Skilled in marketing and confident working with a diverse range of agents and brokers across various distribution channels
