We’re looking for a results-driven Managing Director, E&S Underwriting to lead our client's Baltimore area office. You’ll inspire a top-performing team, oversee daily operations, and drive business growth by strengthening sales strategies and partnering with producers on new and renewal business. The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated history of success in insurance sales leadership, a strong commitment to talent development, and a consistent ability to drive measurable outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years leading sales teams with direct management experience
- 5+ years in commercial multi-line underwriting/production in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market – E&S experience is required
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a team
- Skilled at building strong relationships with clients, carriers, and partners
- Strong sales, marketing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Insurance license required; CPCU, CIC, or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to travel 10-15%.
