About the Role:
The Lead Application Engineer for Business Development will be at the forefront of creating and implementing technical solutions for flexible packaging clients, collaborating with the business development team to transform innovative concepts into practical applications. This dynamic, hands-on role involves driving projects from initial formulation to full-scale rollout, testing and scaling new technologies on pilot lamination and coating equipment, validating concepts for market launch, producing clear technical documentation, presenting findings to internal teams and clients, and building external networks to showcase cutting-edge solutions.

Who You Are:
- 10+ years of flexible packaging experience in application engineering or product development.
- Hands-on expertise in application methods and process development.
- Skilled at technical writing, reporting, and presenting complex concepts clearly.
- Business-savvy with analytical skills to spot improvement opportunities.
- Experienced with Lean, Six Sigma, and scientific methods to optimize quality and efficiency
- Comfortable with 30–50% travel to support customers and pilot projects.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
