They are seeking a personable and flexible Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical systems in collaboration with internal and customer teams. This includes creating schematics, control panel layouts, and bills of materials, working with UL certification requirements, and ensuring NEC and UL compliance. Experience working with electronic components and controls is highly valued. You’ll also assist with prototyping, provide production support, and contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate:
Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; a background in mechanical engineering is a plus. They bring foundational knowledge of electrical design for power distribution and controls in automation and alternative energy markets. Proficiency with CAD tools—particularly AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor—is essential. Experience with electronic components, UL certification processes, and MRP systems such as Epicor is preferred. A solid understanding of NEC codes and electrical systems is also required.
