Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage non-admitted General Liability risks for middle-market construction.
- Maintain relationships with Wholesale Brokers and ensure production, profitability, and service targets are met.
- Evaluate commercial risks, set pricing, and review claims and loss information to develop risk strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate broker relationships.
- Adhere to underwriting guidelines and maintain portfolio profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree (Risk Management or STEM preferred), or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of commercial lines underwriting experience, with a focus on General Liability and Construction.
- Strong relationships with contractors and wholesalers.
- Experience with Excess & Surplus Lines and Wholesale Brokerage Distribution.
- CPCU, ASLI, ARM, CRIS certifications preferred.
- Strong understanding of the construction sector.
