About The Role:
As a Commercial Lines Underwriter, you’ll manage your book of business, serve as the lead client contact, and handle complex risk assessments, quoting, and binding for new and renewal accounts. You’ll also develop referrals to brokerage facilities, track key performance metrics, implement strategies to drive results, and mentor Assistant and Associate Underwriters to build a high-performing commercial underwriting team.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of commercial underwriting experience in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market – E&S experience is required
- Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills
- Insurance license required; CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred
