They are seeking a Casualty Underwriter to join their growing specialty division. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that values strong broker relationships, technical underwriting expertise, and strategic growth in the middle and upper-middle market.
About the Role:
As a Casualty Underwriter, you’ll manage the full underwriting cycle and build strong broker relationships, drive new business, and grow a profitable book. A perfect candidate for this role has strong Commercial Auto (transportation) underwriting experience. Experience working with hazardous transport such as chemicals, etc. is a plus!
The Ideal Candidate Has:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Risk Management, Business, or related field)
• 5–10 years of commercial casualty underwriting experience (GL and Auto strongly preferred)
• Experience in Casualty underwriting including Commercial Auto/Transportation.
• Background in construction, manufacturing, or transportation underwriting a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and underwriting systems
• Relationship-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable in a production environment
