On September 27 & 28, Hobson employees from around the country gathered at our Cheshire, CT headquarters to celebrate the end of another successful fiscal year and set the stage for the next.
After a year of growth- hitting our overall company sales goal, the launch of our new Renewable & Clean Energy practice, a flourishing Staffing Services department, and the unveiling of a new and improved Hobson website, we had much to celebrate and look forward to.
The two day celebration began with a dinner at the elegantly restored “The Library Wine Bar and Bistro” in Wallingford, CT, followed by dessert and an awards ceremony. The following morning a company-wide meeting was held at Hobson headquarters to review the company’s fiscal year 2016 accomplishments and establish a clear, shared focus on 2017 goals. The Hobson leadership team, Danny Cahill and Lisa Iannone, shared their perspectives on the importance of what our recruiters do every day, how we can learn from our past experiences, and the characteristics and values that will continue to make us and our company successful.
Congratulations to the following team members:
Senior Partner Beth Schneider, who took top honors as Associate of the Year, as well as being honored for marking her 25th year at Hobson. Beth was also recognized as Q4 Associate, breaking billing records 2 quarters in a row, and was over goal for the year.
For Senior Partner Bill Tomek, 2016 was a record year for client billings, crushing his 
yearly goal, as evidenced in part by being named Associate of the Month for September 2016.
Technology Senior Partner, Jeff Vernick, was recognized as being Associate of the Month for August, and Technology Partner Larry Botelle was Associate of the Month in July.
The following recruiters were recognized for closing over their Q4 goals: Beth Schneider, Bill Tomek, Larry Botelle, Gerry Sorge, Robin Bland, Emily Audibert, Nick Averna, Dan Lesage, Kyle Newton, and Rick Stickles.
Contract Staffing Consultant Jennifer Millea was recognized as “Rookie of the Year” for turning in strong billing results during her first year as a member of the Hobson Team. This success has elevated her title to Associate status.
Last but not least, Technology Consultant Emily Audibert was this year’s recipient of “The Jackie”. This award is given annually to the staff member who most embodies the ideals of Hobson Associates.
It was a great year-end celebration, giving remote staff members the chance to connect with the rest of the CT team, we had fun, and it positioned Hobson for a tremendous fiscal year 2017!
