A stable, long-standing power producer is hiring a hands-on Steam Plant Operator to run a 22 MW wood-fired boiler—performing rounds, maintaining systems, operating equipment, and supporting the control room.
What You’ll Do
A stable, long-standing power producer is hiring a hands-on Steam Plant Operator to run a 22 MW wood-fired boiler—performing rounds, maintaining systems, operating equipment, and supporting the control room.
What You’ll Do
- Run boilers, ash systems, conveyors, pumps, and fuel-handling equipment
- Perform scheduled rounds and keep accurate logs
- Test and treat boiler/cooling system water
- Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and plant support
- Follow safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Power plant or heavy industrial experience preferred
- Comfortable with rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong mechanical sense and safety focus
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb, wear PPE, and work indoors/outdoors
- Hands-on, action-oriented role—no desk watching
