Position 1 – Night Shift:
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours/week, every other weekend
- Schedule alternates: Mon/Tues/Sat, then Sun/Thurs/Fri
- 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- 36 hours/week, 4 days a week
- Every third weekend, days vary
What You’ll Do
- Receive, inspect, and deliver materials, supplies, and medical equipment to departments
- Process and prepare patient specimens for testing (registration, labeling, accessioning, centrifugation)
- Enter patient registration and lab orders into hospital systems (HIS/LIS)
- Evaluate specimen integrity and handle according to established procedures
- Maintain accurate files, organized storage, and participate in inventory audits
- Support department operations with customer service, phone inquiries, and courier arrangements
- Follow universal precautions and maintain sanitary work areas
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with lab practices
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of receiving, storeroom, or lab experience preferred
- Phlebotomy skills are helpful, but not required
- Ability to lift to 150 lbs. and operate a pallet jack
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn hospital systems (HIS/LIS)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to adapt in a clinical setting with exposure to patient specimens and lab equipment
