Are Recruiters Like Doctors?

Are Recruiters Like Doctors?NO.
Recruiters only have one waiting room!
  • Recruiters make money when they are in their 20s, interns make rounds for stipends
  • Recruiters don’t read your resume/chart and suggest you lose 10 lbs and start jogging
  • Recruiters don’t take a Hippocratic Oath, they take a Hypocritical oath, which serves you well.

YES

  • Recruiters can’t treat without diagnosis. Tell us what is missing in your career, and we’ll prescribe accordingly
  • Recruiters, “first, do no harm.” If your job is better than what is on the market, we’ll tell you to stay. And wish you well.
  • Recruiters must know your vitals, (comp, benes, career track, etc.) But then we want to know how you feel about yourself. And that answer is all important to us.
  • We send you out for “tests” that we call interviews. And we know you are scared and concerned. And while you can’t see it, we are worried about you.

So don’t be that guy/gal who doesn’t go to their doctor or recruiter because there’s nothing wrong right now and you’re afraid we might find something. Make your appointment. Get checked out. You are worth more to a prospective client while you are working for someone else. Your recruiter might be just what the doctor ordered.
