Gerry Sorge, CPC, CSP
Gerry’s practice specialty is building sales teams in the Drug Development industry, specializing in all phases from preclinical to clinical. Gerry has excelled in placing Senior Vice Presidents and Director-level producers globally. He has become a leader at Hobson Associates and is regarded as a top producer in the industry. Gerry has been recognized for his commitment to his clients and his determination to complete every search effectively. This dedication has earned him long-term clients with whom he has a strong track record of repeat business.
Operating as a true search partner with his clients, Gerry believes that his top priority is always delivering key talent that will positively impact the bottom line for his clients.
Prior to joining Hobson Associates in 2004, Gerry was an extremely successful senior manager in contract staffing. Although he started as a recruiter, his strong people skills and understanding of how to grow a business led Gerry to the helm, building two successful contract firms with multiple offices throughout the United States.
Gerry resides with his wife Mary in central Connecticut where they serve as Deacon and Deaconess at New Life Church. He trains and competes as a triathlete and leads revitalization projects of condemned commercial properties in his community. They have two sons; their oldest teaches high school English in Boston and the youngest is a student at LSU Medical School.
Gerry is the son of a carpenter and he loves to renovate properties. While on a project this year, he accidentally nailed himself to a header in the ceiling with a three-inch framing gun. Ouch!
My experience with Gerry Sorge at Hobson Associates was like no other. When he understood I needed to make a change, he proactively searched the industry for companies where I would be a perfect fit. He introduced me to a company that was not even actively looking to expand their BD team… and within 30 days my contract was executed! I was elated. In my 20-year career, I’ve never felt better matched or happier.”
