The Underwriting Manager will oversee the company’s middle-market production team in the Central and Mountain states, ensuring they meet production targets and adhere to underwriting guidelines. They will guide their team to achieve profit and loss goals while coaching them in surplus lines underwriting, sales skills, and retail agency management to secure profitable business opportunities.

The Underwriting Manager will oversee the company’s middle-market production team in the Central and Mountain states, ensuring they meet production targets and adhere to underwriting guidelines. They will guide their team to achieve profit and loss goals while coaching them in surplus lines underwriting, sales skills, and retail agency management to secure profitable business opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- BS/BA in business, finance, or marketing preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in P&C insurance
- Surplus lines background preferred
- Residential P&C and Surplus Line License, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Strong relationships with retail agents are a plus
- Excellent business and financial acumen
- Effective influencer and collaborator
- Proven relationship-building skills
- Skilled in managing multiple projects
