The Underwriter will be responsible for all aspects of underwriting and servicing insurance accounts. This includes reviewing accounts for acceptability, completing underwriting and pricing, preparing, and submitting accounts to the carrier, negotiating pricing and coverages, working with sales staff to develop business, serving as the primary contact for agents and brokers, and handling account problems. The Underwriter will also play a support role with less experienced peers.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- 5+ years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
- Prior experience underwriting general liability, heavy auto and/or property a plus.
- Prefer carrier underwriting experience / training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with seasonal volume.
- Proficient with computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
- Insurance curriculum classes a plus.
