About the Role:
The Renewal Underwriting Manager will lead the renewals team, overseeing underwriting support functions and supervising the Renewal Underwriter team. They will manage workflows and processes, and work with leadership to execute the organization’s Commercial Underwriting strategy, driving profitable growth and achieving business objectives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and has 5+ years of relevant insurance experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Experience in Excess and Surplus lines is highly valued.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring abilities.
- Proven track record of strong customer service in a professional setting.
- Possesses entrepreneurial qualities such as innovative problem-solving, adaptability to change, and excellent prioritization skills.
- Team-oriented: promotes collaboration and provides open, honest, respectful, and constructive feedback.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
