The NPI Engineer - Materials drives the new product introduction process for engineered materials, guiding products from prototype to production using a stage gate approach. This role ensures manufacturing readiness, coordinates contract manufacturing, and secures approvals for serial production.
What We’re Looking For:
A candidate with 4-5 years of experience and a strong background in materials science, particularly in plastics and injection molding. Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) is preferred. Key skills include expertise in materials processes, proficiency in product development and stage-gate methodologies, and strong project management abilities. Familiarity with statistical analysis, quality standards (ISO 9001/13485), and process improvement techniques like Lean or Six Sigma is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field is required, with advanced degrees or certifications as a plus.
