They’re seeking an experienced Large Account Underwriter to join their CT team.
As the Large Account Underwriter, you’ll be responsible underwriting new and renewal accounts which includes solicitation, selection and pricing of complex multi-line risks (workers compensation, commercial auto, general liability).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of casualty underwriting large or middle market accounts with an insurance carrier.
- Knowledge of underwriting territory and strong relationships with the local distribution network (local and regional agents, national and regional brokers, and select consultants).
- Demonstrated proficiency in the successful marketing and prospecting of business opportunities, relationship building and agency management skills.
- Strong collaboration skills, ability to foster a team-oriented environment with other departments.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- MBA, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Risk Management designation, or other professional designations are highly desired
