ABOUT THE ROLE:
In the vital role of Director of Philanthropy, you will be spearhead for the development and growth of strategic fundraising programs, establishing the pipeline for Major Giving, and managing and cultivating a portfolio of high-capacity board, individual, corporate, and foundation relationships. In addition, you will also oversee the organization’s advancement initiatives and building and fostering a culture of philanthropy.
As the Director, you will manage a team of multi-disciplined fundraisers with oversight of major gifts and grants, ensuring that all development objectives are met and exceeded in alignment with the Strategic Plan and revenue budget.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Director, you will manage a team of multi-disciplined fundraisers with oversight of major gifts and grants, ensuring that all development objectives are met and exceeded in alignment with the Strategic Plan and revenue budget.
THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL HAS…
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5-7+ years successful direct fundraising leadership experience at a senior management level.
- Proven track record in soliciting, cultivating, and closing major gifts and planned gifts.
- Excellent relationship management and team building skills with the ability to work with a variety of constituents including board members, educators, event sponsors, corporate leaders, and individuals.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing and mentoring the development team and other project teams and/or board members to maximize development efforts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computer programs such as: Microsoft office suite; (CRM systems (BCRM, QGiv, First Giving).
- CFRE or comparable experience
- Ability to travel within the organization’s territory, as needed.
