In this critical role, the Chief Actuary will be responsible for directing the actuarial department in both reserving and pricing. The Chief Actuary will also ensure favorable corporate financial results by performing actuarial and underwriting analysis, determining rates for all lines of business and recommend actuarial and underwriting policy. They will provide input on company policies, particularly around risk assumption, as well as provide actuarial assistance on legislative/regulatory matters.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or related field
- 10+ years of actuarial experience in professional/commercial lines insurance
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Fellow, Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred
- Membership in American Academy of Actuaries preferred
