Steve Soto, CPC

Steve is a Partner in the Life Science Practice, an area he launched in 2002. Through his hard work and dedication, Steve has established Hobson Associates as a major player in the CRO, Central Lab, Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry. In 2005, Steve was made Practice Manager, growing it from one to nine consultants and now represents more than one-third of Hobson’s total revenues. Steve’s expertise is placing mid- to senior-level talent in business development, medical director/medical affairs and operations. 

Steve’s philosophy in recruiting is simple. Love what you do and be true to yourself and others.

Since joining the company in 2001, Steve has been an integral part of the Hobson team. He earned the Rookie of the Year award, immediately establishing himself as a top producer and has never looked back. As a perennial all-star, Steven has consistently ranked in the top five of billings, making him one of the highest producing recruiters in Hobson history. Steve’s efforts were rewarded in 2005 when he was awarded Partnership.

Prior to recruiting, Steve was a successful businessman who for nine years built and sold three companies in the retail and wholesale distribution market space. Steve is father of two, and in his spare time he enjoys coaching his daughter’s softball team.

Fun Fact: Steve plays percussion in a jazz band.
