Steven earned his BA in Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and is one of the members of the Hobson Associates Technology Practice, recruiting top Sales and Marketing talent for clients in the Software and Hi-Tech Services industries. Steven focuses on recruiting talent for the Legal Technology marketplace, where he continues to help build and grow successful sales teams across the country.

Professionally, Steven brings with him a track record of 10 years of successful sales and management experience, prior to joining Hobson. A Merchandise Sales Manager with the J.C. Penney Company from 1995-1999, Steven was promoted several times for his sales and leadership abilities; going from $90k worth of merchandise in Martinsburg, WV to his final stop in Waterbury, CT where he achieved sales of $3M annually in his division. Soon thereafter Steven made a career change to join Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He excelled as a management trainee in the Rental division and was promoted to a Branch Manager position in only his second year continuing to shatter previously set sales and profit records. His final managerial promotion was to the Car Sales division, where as a Senior Account Executive he led the CT/MA group in sales and customer service which resulted in back-to-back sales from one individual of 130 cars per year the first time in Enterprise history.

Personally, Steven hails from Philadelphia, PA and is the oldest of seven children. He is blessed to be married to Dr. Evelyn Simien, and is the proud 22nd President of the BSL (Alumni) Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., which services the greater Hartford, CT community.
